SecOps Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented SecOps Specialist to manage all security domains, including cloud (AWS) and user endpoints (PC, Mac, and mobile), troubleshoot network access, and implement security policies and procedures across the organization. The SecOps Engineer will work independently within the established procedures to ensure network and cloud security access and protect against unauthorized access, modifications, or destruction. Responsibilities include performing risk assessments, audits, staff training sessions, monitoring network activity, and configuring a wide range of security tools.

To be a successful SecOps Specialist, you should be meticulous and detail-oriented, with excellent technical and information security skills. You should be skilled at drafting and implementing security policies and training employees to be security-conscious.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, administrating, and troubleshooting security solutions for both corporate and cloud devices.
  • Ensuring all software and systems are up to date with the latest security patches, and that the proper defenses are present for each relevant resource.
  • Configuring security systems, analyzing security requirements, and recommending improvements.
  • Creating network policies and authorization roles and defending against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction.
  • Consulting with staff, managers, and executives about the best security practices and providing technical advice.
  • Manage aspects of the organization's various security systems such as Firewall, CASB, CSPM, CDR, SASE, SIEM, and Vulnerability management tools.
  • Participate in security and compliance audits with customers and auditors.
  • Training staff to understand and use security protocols.
  • Performing vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats, and developing disaster recovery plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in security operations 
  • Cyber Security courses (must)
  • Advanced security certifications
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and instructional skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-learner and ability to work in an unsupervised environment
